Oh my, isn't rusty in here. How time flies, our lil' damia is almost 3 months now. It felt like just weeks ago when i first laid eyes on her. I didn't manage to find time to write on that, however i do cherish every moment of the labour process. I'll come to that later as still need to get some facts right since there are times i was on meds, i was less attentive of the time and stuff.
Just had her 2 months old vaccination last 2 weeks before our langkawi trip. The doctor advised that we gave her the fever meds as infants are very likely to catch fever after that. Alhamdulillah, we gave her once only as she didn't show any signs of fever all day. She is strong girl, cried just a little after that jab. I immediately breastfed her and she was calm again. I guess, breastfeeding is good thing too as it said to boost your baby's immune system. I have read somewhere that taking 2 pills of vitamin C (500 mg each) before her injection also can prevent a baby from getting fever, not sure if there is any truth in that, maybe it helped too.She weighs about 52kg, didn't take her her height though, she must be more 60cm tall now, she does look tall, hopefully taller than mummy later.Hehe
I noticed that baby mia smiles a lot these days, she response to people by squealing or babbling. She makes a lot of funny noises, i guess she just dicovered that she can 'talk' and is testing her vocal cords now.She especially likes it when daddy sings ABC song to her! She sleeps well at night and only wakes up to feed. No more colic at this stage. However i still have to watch what i eat everyday, if i take too much chocolates or drinks milo, mia tends to having less sleep at night.
I did mention that we just came back from Langkawi right? This is the first time my hubby, myself and lil damia along with my family took a long roadtrip to the north. Lil mia was a little restless on the way there maybe due to the fact that we had to start the journey at almost 1 am. We were kinda messing with her sleeping time so she's a little cranky. For me, she has been an angel, not too difficult to handle except when she was hungry or trying to sleep. She slept all the time though on our way back home, probably too tired already. I'm thankful that my mom came along too, especially when me and hubby had to go for a quick run to get ourselves some kitchen stuffs as you probably already aware, are very cheap here in Langkawi. Not forgetting the chocolates too! I think we bought a year worth of chocolates! *wink*.
Ok pictures later as i'm updating this blog from office :p
